SENIOR Civil Engineer

Constructive Solutions Pty Ltd (CSPL) is seeking to expand its civil engineering team in order to meet an increasing demand for engineering work.

The Company

CSPL is a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy with offices based in Brisbane (Toowong), Tamworth and Toowoomba. We provide civil and environmental engineering design and management solutions with specific expertise in the project management of civil infrastructure. Our clients comprise State government, local councils, resource sector companies. renewable energy proponents and other commercial enterprises.

The Position

The position being offered will be based in either Brisbane or Tamworth in north-west NSW and will be responsible for a variety of projects, with work allocated to suit the experience and future development needs of the successful applicant. The exact nature of work will vary, depending on the nature of the projects that CSPL has been engaged to complete at the time however, demonstrated engineering experience in typical project management tasks associated with the development and delivery of civil infrastructure projects is required.

The person will be responsible for leading and managing project teams. This requires leadership, good communication skills and the ability to ensure required documentation relating to progress, budget and Client communications is developed and maintained.

Typical civil infrastructure works may include the preconstruction and construction project management of projects such as roads, bridges, and drainage for local and state government agencies as well as the for the resource sector and renewable energy proponents.

Other engineering related works may include design review, preparation of tender documentation, tender and contract administration, preparation of professional reports such as Traffic and Transport Assessments and feasibility studies for new developments.

A key role will be providing engineering advice to State and Local Government agencies. Accordingly, excellent communication and effective and constructive client liaison will form a significant component of the work.

The Person

The person we are looking for will need to have the following blend of qualifications, experience, and qualities:

• A degree in Civil Engineering including eligibility for Membership of Engineers Australia and/or Project Management qualifications.
• Is ethical, trustworthy and is committed to the honest and open delivery of services.
• Ability to listen to Clients and develop solutions to meet their needs.

Applicants must have at least ten (10) years of Engineering experience in Australia. Being a RPEQ and/or CPEng would be highly desirable, as would experience in the road/bridge or water/waste wastewater.

Employment is conditional on the applicant holding a current Australian drivers’ licence. Applicants must be currently living in Australia and be able to legally work in Australia.
